Mike Pace has spent the last thirty years marketing his skills to the film, video, radio and television industries. He is a versatile performer with a rare combination of creativity, talent, work ethic and dependability. He has won awards as diverse as The Governor’s Volunteer Award to Iowa’s Best-dressed Man. {Des Moines Register}

SPOKESMAN/NARRATOR – Mike’s sincere, credible, authoritative style makes him a popular choice as an on-camera spokesman and narrator for local, regional and national companies in radio and television commercials, films and videos throughout the country. Mike was seen twice weekly as host of the national “Powerball” show. Locally, he has hosted the Iowa Realty Sunday Home Show for twenty-eight years.

ACTOR – Mike has played a variety of roles in dozens of corporate and industrial films…..father, coach, corporate executive, salesman, etc. He was named “Best Actor” at the Iowa Film Awards, “Best Talent” by C.I.R.T. {Central Iowa Radio & Television}, and part of “Best Acting Ensemble” with the winning 48 HR. Film Festival team. He made his stage debut recently in Neil Simon’s “The Sunshine Boys.”

WRITER-PRODUCER – Mike has won countless awards as a writer-producer of radio and television commercials. From straight-ahead “sell” or institutional scripts to creative and humorous dialogue and unique concepts, Mike’s work is consistently viable and keeps the customer’s goals as first priority.

EMCEE-SPEAKER – Mike is a popular emcee for many occasions. Governmental agencies, private companies, charities and corporations find him comfortable and competent at the podium. He is an occasional keynote speaker. Mike’s compelling personal story of a self-proclaimed “late bloomer,” who at 37, made a dramatic change that launched a new career…..and “Advertising, Our National Religion” are favorite topics.

RADIO PERSONALITY – Since 1969, as an Iowa State University student announcer, radio has been one of Mike’s passions. He did stints as an on-air personality early in his career at KRNT – Des Moines, WOC – Davenport, KIOA – Des Moines and KFMD – Des Moines. Currently, The Mike Pace Radio Show can be heard on Sunday night at 9 pm and Monday at 12 Noon on 1350 KRNT….Where the Legends Live. Mike’s show features an eclectic music mix and sometimes serious….sometimes silly rumblings on life, love and the cosmos.

POET – Mike’s CD of original poetry and lyrical prose, called “Whispers,” is a provocative, deep, revealing glimpse of what lies beneath the surface of the writer’s public persona. He features local actors and musicians in a wide variety of styles from simple rythym & rhyme to free verse and the English Sonnet form.

MUSICIAN – From a music scholarship to Central College to the U.S. Army Band to his own 5-piece group….music has been a part of Mike’s life as a performer and a listener. He still sings occasionally at local events. He has also written and produced musical images {jingles} for radio and television.

HUSBAND/FATHER – Mike married his Norwalk High School sweetheart, Gail, who is an artist and dedicated volunteer with Planned Parenthood of the Heartland and Hospice of Central Iowa. They have one son, Nicholas, who was a basketball standout at the University of Northern Iowa. Nick is now an associate professor of Education Leadership at U.N.I. He is chair of the Principalship Curriculum at U.N.I.

FATHER-IN-LAW/GRANDFATHER – Mike’s daughter-in-law, Roxanne, is a U.N.I. graduate whose priority in life is playing the role of wife and mother to Nick and their daughter, Sienna and son, Adison. Sienna is 16, a talented writer and dancer. Adison is 13 and loves science and basketball. Both are students in the Cedar Falls public schools.
